Cat A (small cars) dropped $1,970 (−5.1%) to $36,534. A year earlier, in Oct 2019 Ex 1, it was $34,001, so the premium is 7.4% higher year on year. That puts it in the upper part of its 12-month range of $30,000 to $38,504.

Cat B (large cars) dipped $299 (−0.7%) to $40,690. A year earlier, in Oct 2019 Ex 1, it was $41,361, so the premium is 1.6% lower year on year. That puts it at the top of its 12-month range of $30,012 to $41,805.

Cat E (open category) fell $700 (−1.7%) to $40,301. A year earlier, in Oct 2019 Ex 1, it was $41,001, so the premium is 1.7% lower year on year. That puts it in the upper part of its 12-month range of $32,500 to $42,020.

Cat C (goods vehicles) jumped $4,500 (+15.7%) to $33,089. That is its 5th rise in a row. It is the highest Cat C premium since May 2018 Ex 1 ($33,190). A year earlier, in Oct 2019 Ex 1, it was $26,509, so the premium is 24.8% higher year on year.

Cat D (motorcycles) rose $120 (+1.6%) to $7,451. A year earlier, in Oct 2019 Ex 1, it was $3,800, so the premium is 96.1% higher year on year. That puts it at the top of its 12-month range of $3,658 to $7,702.

Bidding Competition
