About Steer SG

Steer SG helps people in Singapore follow Certificate of Entitlement (COE) prices and understand what they mean for buying, keeping, or renewing a car. It covers every bidding exercise since July 2017, with price history by category and by year, and free calculators for COE renewal, PARF and COE rebates, and road tax.

The site and its iOS and Android apps are built and run by The Everest Lab, an independent developer. We are not a car dealer, bank, or insurer, and we have no stake in what you buy.

Where the numbers come from

COE results, quotas, and bid counts come from the Land Transport Authority's published bidding results on data.gov.sg, the Singapore Government's open data portal. Our data pipeline checks for new results every 6 hours, and a page for each new exercise is published automatically after bidding closes.

Commentary on result pages (year-on-year changes, records, streaks, and bidding competition) is calculated from that same data. Calculators use the published rules for ARF, PARF, road tax, and the Prevailing Quota Premium; each calculator page states the rules it applies. If you spot a number that doesn't match LTA's figures, please tell us and we'll correct it.

What we don't do

  • We don't predict COE prices or tell you when to bid. Results pages describe what happened, not what will happen.
  • We don't give financial advice. Estimates such as rebates and renewal costs are for planning; check the final figures with LTA or your dealer.
  • We don't need an account, and the apps carry no ads. See the privacy policy for what is collected.

How the site is funded

The apps are free. The website may show ads from Google on some article and result pages, which helps pay for hosting and development. Ads never appear in the apps.
