Cat B (large cars) inched up $300 (+0.7%) to $40,990. A year earlier, in Oct 2019 Ex 2, it was $41,805, so the premium is 1.9% lower year on year. That puts it at the top of its 12-month range of $30,012 to $41,510.

Cat E (open category) fell $412 (−1.0%) to $39,889. A year earlier, in Oct 2019 Ex 2, it was $42,020, so the premium is 5.1% lower year on year. That puts it in the upper part of its 12-month range of $32,500 to $41,001.

Cat C (goods vehicles) rose $689 (+2.1%) to $33,778. That is its 6th rise in a row. It is the highest Cat C premium since Apr 2018 Ex 2 ($34,202). A year earlier, in Oct 2019 Ex 2, it was $26,001, so the premium is 29.9% higher year on year.
