Cat A (small cars) rose $2,202 (+3.2%) to $70,901. A year earlier, in May 2021 Ex 1, it was $48,002, so the premium is 47.7% higher year on year. That puts it at the top of its 12-month range of $41,801 to $72,996.

Cat B (large cars) rose $2,088 (+2.3%) to $92,090. A year earlier, in May 2021 Ex 1, it was $60,001, so the premium is 53.5% higher year on year. That puts it in the upper part of its 12-month range of $56,001 to $98,889.

Cat E (open category) fell $4,689 (−4.9%) to $91,112. A year earlier, in May 2021 Ex 1, it was $63,002, so the premium is 44.6% higher year on year. That puts it in the upper part of its 12-month range of $57,700 to $99,999.

Cat C (goods vehicles) fell $1,112 (−2.1%) to $50,890. A year earlier, in May 2021 Ex 1, it was $43,001, so the premium is 18.3% higher year on year. That puts it in the upper part of its 12-month range of $37,000 to $54,901.

Cat D (motorcycles) fell $312 (−3.2%) to $9,489. It is the lowest Cat D premium since Dec 2021 Ex 1 ($9,401). A year earlier, in May 2021 Ex 1, it was $8,011, so the premium is 18.4% higher year on year.
