Cat B (large cars) climbed $4,101 (+5.0%) to $86,102. It is the highest Cat B premium in our records, which begin in July 2017. A year earlier, in Feb 2021 Ex 1, it was $46,790, so the premium is 84.0% higher year on year.
Cat E (open category) rose $3,089 (+3.7%) to $87,000. A year earlier, in Feb 2021 Ex 1, it was $49,778, so the premium is 74.8% higher year on year. That puts it at the top of its 12-month range of $47,001 to $88,000.
Cat C (goods vehicles) rose $1,000 (+2.3%) to $44,001. A year earlier, in Feb 2021 Ex 1, it was $45,001, so the premium is 2.2% lower year on year. That puts it in the upper part of its 12-month range of $36,134 to $45,001.
Cat D (motorcycles) inched up $10 (+0.1%) to $10,010. That is its 5th rise in a row. It is the highest Cat D premium in our records, which begin in July 2017. A year earlier, in Feb 2021 Ex 1, it was $7,506, so the premium is 33.4% higher year on year.
