Cat A (small cars) jumped $5,708 (+12.1%) to $52,709. It is the highest Cat A premium in our records, which begin in July 2017. A year earlier, in Oct 2020 Ex 2, it was $37,334, so the premium is 41.2% higher year on year.

Cat B (large cars) jumped $10,010 (+14.3%) to $80,210. That is its 5th rise in a row. It is the highest Cat B premium in our records, which begin in July 2017. A year earlier, in Oct 2020 Ex 2, it was $40,990, so the premium is 95.7% higher year on year.

Cat E (open category) jumped $12,244 (+16.8%) to $85,000. That is its 3rd rise in a row. It is the highest Cat E premium in our records, which begin in July 2017. A year earlier, in Oct 2020 Ex 2, it was $39,889, so the premium is 113.1% higher year on year.

Cat C (goods vehicles) rose $1,611 (+4.1%) to $40,501. A year earlier, in Oct 2020 Ex 2, it was $33,778, so the premium is 19.9% higher year on year. That puts it in the upper part of its 12-month range of $30,334 to $45,001.

Cat D (motorcycles) rose $258 (+2.9%) to $9,310. A year earlier, in Oct 2020 Ex 2, it was $7,300, so the premium is 27.5% higher year on year. That puts it in the upper part of its 12-month range of $7,251 to $9,689.
