Cat B (large cars) rose $1,558 (+4.4%) to $36,961. That is its 5th rise in a row. It is the highest Cat B premium since May 2018 Ex 2 ($37,989). A year earlier, in Mar 2018 Ex 1, it was $39,001, so the premium is 5.2% lower year on year.

Cat E (open category) rose $953 (+2.6%) to $37,620. That is its 6th rise in a row. It is the highest Cat E premium since May 2018 Ex 2 ($38,700). A year earlier, in Mar 2018 Ex 1, it was $39,000, so the premium is 3.5% lower year on year.

Cat C (goods vehicles) inched up $96 (+0.4%) to $27,010. That is its 3rd rise in a row. It is the highest Cat C premium since Nov 2018 Ex 2 ($27,509). A year earlier, in Mar 2018 Ex 1, it was $36,003, so the premium is 25.0% lower year on year.

Cat D (motorcycles) fell $87 (−2.4%) to $3,602. A year earlier, in Mar 2018 Ex 1, it was $8,009, so the premium is 55.0% lower year on year. That puts it in the lower part of its 12-month range of $2,509 to $8,009.
