Cat B (large cars) climbed $9,389 (+7.4%) to $136,890. That is its 4th rise in a row. It is the highest Cat B premium since Oct 2023 Ex 2 ($150,001). A year earlier, in Sep 2024 Ex 2, it was $110,001, so the premium is 24.4% higher year on year.
Cat E (open category) climbed $12,601 (+9.9%) to $140,502. That is its 7th rise in a row. It is the highest Cat E premium since Oct 2023 Ex 2 ($158,004). A year earlier, in Sep 2024 Ex 2, it was $113,104, so the premium is 24.2% higher year on year.
Cat C (goods vehicles) rose $945 (+1.3%) to $72,501. It is the highest Cat C premium since Oct 2024 Ex 2 ($72,939). A year earlier, in Sep 2024 Ex 2, it was $74,000, so the premium is 2.0% lower year on year.
Cat D (motorcycles) rose $108 (+1.2%) to $9,209. A year earlier, in Sep 2024 Ex 2, it was $9,900, so the premium is 7.0% lower year on year. That puts it in the upper part of its 12-month range of $7,721 to $10,001.
