Cat E (open category) rose $4,898 (+4.9%) to $105,239. It is the highest Cat E premium since Jan 2024 Ex 2 ($109,004). A year earlier, in Aug 2023 Ex 1, it was $126,201, so the premium is 16.6% lower year on year.
Cat C (goods vehicles) inched up $499 (+0.7%) to $71,100. That is its 3rd rise in a row. A year earlier, in Aug 2023 Ex 1, it was $82,100, so the premium is 13.4% lower year on year. That puts it in the lower part of its 12-month range of $67,501 to $85,900.
