Cat A (small cars) inched up $501 (+0.5%) to $100,000. It is the highest Cat A premium since May 2023 Ex 1 ($101,001). A year earlier, in Aug 2022 Ex 2, it was $87,889, so the premium is 13.8% higher year on year.
Cat B (large cars) rose $3,001 (+2.4%) to $129,890. It is the highest Cat B premium in our records, which begin in July 2017. A year earlier, in Aug 2022 Ex 2, it was $112,001, so the premium is 16.0% higher year on year.
Cat E (open category) rose $4,799 (+3.8%) to $131,000. That is its 3rd rise in a row. It is the highest Cat E premium in our records, which begin in July 2017. A year earlier, in Aug 2022 Ex 2, it was $112,001, so the premium is 17.0% higher year on year.
Cat C (goods vehicles) inched up $701 (+0.9%) to $82,801. A year earlier, in Aug 2022 Ex 2, it was $59,090, so the premium is 40.1% higher year on year. That puts it in the upper part of its 12-month range of $59,090 to $91,101.
