Cat B (large cars) dropped $1,900 (−5.0%) to $36,000. That is its 4th fall in a row. It is the lowest Cat B premium since Jul 2019 Ex 1 ($34,000). A year earlier, in Dec 2018 Ex 2, it was $31,001, so the premium is 16.1% higher year on year.

Cat E (open category) fell $900 (−2.3%) to $37,989. It is the lowest Cat E premium since Sep 2019 Ex 1 ($37,912). A year earlier, in Dec 2018 Ex 2, it was $31,809, so the premium is 19.4% higher year on year.

Cat C (goods vehicles) fell $504 (−2.1%) to $23,200. That is its 5th fall in a row. It is the lowest Cat C premium in our records, which begin in July 2017. A year earlier, in Dec 2018 Ex 2, it was $27,001, so the premium is 14.1% lower year on year.

Cat D (motorcycles) fell $131 (−3.5%) to $3,658. That is its 3rd fall in a row. A year earlier, in Dec 2018 Ex 2, it was $3,789, so the premium is 3.5% lower year on year. That puts it mid-way through its 12-month range of $2,889 to $4,400.
