Category by Category

Cat A (small cars) plunged $3,199 (−11.3%) to $25,000. It is the lowest Cat A premium since Jul 2018 Ex 1 ($25,000). A year earlier, in Nov 2017 Ex 2, it was $46,791, so the premium is 46.6% lower year on year.

Cat B (large cars) fell $1,201 (−3.7%) to $31,101. It is the lowest Cat B premium since Jul 2018 Ex 1 ($31,000). A year earlier, in Nov 2017 Ex 2, it was $57,390, so the premium is 45.8% lower year on year.

Cat E (open category) fell $1,041 (−3.3%) to $30,959. It is the lowest Cat E premium in our records, which begin in July 2017. A year earlier, in Nov 2017 Ex 2, it was $57,501, so the premium is 46.2% lower year on year.

Cat C (goods vehicles) dropped $1,992 (−6.8%) to $27,509. A year earlier, in Nov 2017 Ex 2, it was $57,701, so the premium is 52.3% lower year on year. That puts it at the bottom of its 12-month range of $27,001 to $45,112.

Cat D (motorcycles) jumped $480 (+19.1%) to $2,989. A year earlier, in Nov 2017 Ex 2, it was $5,992, so the premium is 50.1% lower year on year. That puts it at the bottom of its 12-month range of $2,509 to $8,451.
