Rates from LTA’s vehicle tax structure for cars registered in 2026–2027 with COEs from the second bidding of February 2023 onwards. Excludes GST, dealer margin and accessories, so the showroom price is higher. Fully electric cars registered in 2026 may also get the EV Early Adoption Incentive (up to $7,500 off ARF), which ends after 31 December 2026 and isn’t included here. Estimates only.
How ARF is worked out
ARF is charged in slices of OMV, each at a higher rate:

| $20,001 – $40,000 | 140% |
| $40,001 – $60,000 | 190% |
| $60,001 – $80,000 | 250% |
| Above $80,000 | 320% |
The Vehicular Emissions Scheme then adds a surcharge or takes off a rebate, depending on the car’s worst-rated pollutant. ARF can’t fall below $5,000 after a rebate, except for fully electric cars, where the floor is $0 until the end of 2027.
Why it matters later
