Cat A (small cars) dipped $98 (−0.1%) to $93,601. A year earlier, in Jan 2024 Ex 2, it was $81,589, so the premium is 14.7% higher year on year. That puts it in the upper part of its 12-month range of $76,801 to $103,799.

Cat B (large cars) fell $4,876 (−4.0%) to $116,625. A year earlier, in Jan 2024 Ex 2, it was $112,000, so the premium is 4.1% higher year on year. That puts it in the upper part of its 12-month range of $96,010 to $121,501.

Cat E (open category) dropped $7,888 (−6.4%) to $115,112. A year earlier, in Jan 2024 Ex 2, it was $109,004, so the premium is 5.6% higher year on year. That puts it in the upper part of its 12-month range of $94,006 to $123,000.

Cat C (goods vehicles) fell $2,415 (−3.6%) to $65,476. That is its 3rd fall in a row. It is the lowest Cat C premium since Sep 2022 Ex 1 ($64,989). A year earlier, in Jan 2024 Ex 2, it was $68,001, so the premium is 3.7% lower year on year.

Cat D (motorcycles) plunged $1,280 (−14.2%) to $7,721. It is the lowest Cat D premium since May 2023 Ex 1 ($5,002). A year earlier, in Jan 2024 Ex 2, it was $9,309, so the premium is 17.1% lower year on year.
