Cat A (small cars) fell $3,020 (−3.4%) to $85,000. It is the lowest Cat A premium since Jan 2023 Ex 1 ($80,000). A year earlier, in Dec 2022 Ex 2, it was $88,007, so the premium is 3.4% lower year on year.

Cat B (large cars) plunged $20,099 (−15.4%) to $110,001. A year earlier, in Dec 2022 Ex 2, it was $108,006, so the premium is 1.8% higher year on year. That puts it in the lower part of its 12-month range of $102,002 to $150,001.

Cat E (open category) plunged $15,000 (−11.2%) to $118,388. It is the lowest Cat E premium since Mar 2023 Ex 2 ($116,020). A year earlier, in Dec 2022 Ex 2, it was $109,600, so the premium is 8.0% higher year on year.

Cat C (goods vehicles) fell $1,578 (−2.2%) to $69,423. That is its 5th fall in a row. It is the lowest Cat C premium since Oct 2022 Ex 1 ($65,991). A year earlier, in Dec 2022 Ex 2, it was $78,200, so the premium is 11.2% lower year on year.

Cat D (motorcycles) dropped $856 (−8.7%) to $9,002. That is its 4th fall in a row. It is the lowest Cat D premium since May 2023 Ex 1 ($5,002). A year earlier, in Dec 2022 Ex 2, it was $11,690, so the premium is 23.0% lower year on year.
