Cat A (small cars) plunged $9,110 (−26.7%) to $25,000. That is its 4th fall in a row. It is the lowest Cat A premium in our records, which begin in July 2017. A year earlier, in Jul 2017 Ex 1, it was $42,801, so the premium is 41.6% lower year on year.

Cat B (large cars) dropped $2,900 (−8.6%) to $31,000. That is its 4th fall in a row. It is the lowest Cat B premium in our records, which begin in July 2017. A year earlier, in Jul 2017 Ex 1, it was $49,802, so the premium is 37.8% lower year on year.

Cat E (open category) dropped $3,399 (−9.9%) to $31,001. That is its 3rd fall in a row. It is the lowest Cat E premium in our records, which begin in July 2017. A year earlier, in Jul 2017 Ex 1, it was $49,899, so the premium is 37.9% lower year on year.

Cat C (goods vehicles) fell $909 (−2.8%) to $31,092. A year earlier, in Jul 2017 Ex 1, it was $40,212, so the premium is 22.7% lower year on year. That puts it at the bottom of its 12-month range of $29,901 to $58,036.

Cat D (motorcycles) dropped $375 (−5.4%) to $6,514. That is its 4th fall in a row. It is the lowest Cat D premium since Nov 2017 Ex 2 ($5,992). A year earlier, in Jul 2017 Ex 1, it was $6,001, so the premium is 8.5% higher year on year.
