Cat A (small cars) dropped $4,139 (−9.8%) to $38,200. That is its 3rd fall in a row. It is the lowest Cat A premium since Sep 2017 Ex 1 ($36,001).
Cat B (large cars) plunged $6,709 (−12.5%) to $47,002. That is its 3rd fall in a row. It is the lowest Cat B premium in our records, which begin in July 2017.
Cat E (open category) plunged $6,323 (−11.6%) to $48,011. It is the lowest Cat E premium since Sep 2017 Ex 1 ($48,005).
Cat C (goods vehicles) climbed $3,112 (+7.4%) to $45,112. That puts it in the lower part of its 12-month range of $40,212 to $58,036.
Cat D (motorcycles) jumped $949 (+14.5%) to $7,501. That is its 4th rise in a row. It is the highest Cat D premium in our records, which begin in July 2017.
Bidding Competition
Cat A drew 1.17 bids per COE, well below its 12-month average of 1.44. Cat B drew 1.19 bids per COE, well below its 12-month average of 1.43. Cat E drew 1.89 bids per COE, well above its 12-month average of 1.56. Some COEs went unallocated: Cat C (14 of 246), Cat D (56 of 514). Unallocated COEs are added to the next exercise’s quota.
